Continuing our series of historical markers – this marker is a tribute to “The Railroad Round House” and is located at the intersection of Water Street and Front Street outside of the Alpine Chocolat Haus. This was once the site of the round house for the BCG & A Railroad. It was build shortly after the turn of the century and serviced the booming lumber industry and transported many other goods and equipment to this fast growing community. After the decline of the railroads it was demolished in 1970.
