Downtown Boyne City is a welcoming, four-season community that is well-known, accessible, business friendly and represents the best of what Boyne has to offer.

Boyne City Main Street Board

Boyne City Main Street is overseen by a nine-member board, serving four year terms, that is appointed by the City Commissioners.

Boyne City Main Street Team

The Boyne City Main Street Administrative team works together to ensure our local DDA is the best it can be.  Whether helping to plan events, supporting our businesses, or promoting our history, we strive to make our community the place you want to live.  Jump In!

What We Do

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee is responsible for promoting our downtown assets, enhancing its image, and creating special events to build a fun and exciting atmosphere for residents, visitors, and businesses – giving people a reason to come downtown. The Marketing Committee meets monthly on the second Tuesday (except July) at City Hall 9 a.m.

Economic Vitality Committee

The Economic Vitality Committee is called Team Boyne. Working together as a team of community leaders, the committee works to strengthen our downtown’s economic base, supporting existing small businesses, and recruiting new. The committee includes representatives from the city, the Chamber, the schools, the library, NLEA (our regional economic development agency), the county, the private sector, the Airport Authority, and the nonprofit sectors. Meeting monthly on the third Friday at 9 a.m., at locations around town (to be determined) the group welcomes new entrepreneurs to come and introduce themselves.

Design Committee

The Design Committee is charged with enhancing the physical appearance of our downtown by focusing on historic preservation and public improvements. The Design Committee meets at 4 p.m. on the first Monday of the month (except July).

Organization Committee

The Organization Committee oversees all Boyne City Main Street volunteers and fundraising, including Boyne Thunder. In addition, the committee provides support to all other committees. The Organization Committee meets the second Tuesday of the month (except July) at 3 p.m.
